1. Tell Us About Your Move
Start by telling us where you’re moving from and to, approximately how much you need to ship, and when you’re planning to move. You can request a quotation online, and if we need any additional information to provide an accurate estimate, we’ll contact you.
2. Video Survey
For larger or more complex moves, we may recommend a convenient video survey. Using your smartphone, you can show us the items you’re planning to take while we talk through your move with you. This helps us assess the volume of your shipment, identify any items that may need special handling and understand access at your property. It’s quick, convenient and means we can prepare a more accurate quotation without the need for an in-person survey.
3. Receive Your Quotation
Once we understand the details of your move, we’ll prepare a clear, personalised quotation based on your individual requirements. We’ll explain the recommended shipping method, what is included in the service and any options available to you. International moving costs can vary depending on shipment size, destination and timing, so every ClickMoves quotation is prepared specifically for your move.
4. Book Your Move
Once you’re happy with your quotation, simply confirm that you’d like to proceed and we’ll arrange the next steps. We’ll agree suitable collection dates, confirm the details of your shipment and guide you through any paperwork required for your destination. Your ClickMoves contact will be available to answer questions and keep everything organised as your moving date approaches.
5. Packing & Collection
We’ll arrange collection of your belongings at a convenient time. Depending on the service you choose, your shipment can be professionally packed by an experienced removals team, or you may prefer to pack some or all of your belongings yourself. Items requiring additional protection can be specially wrapped or packed for international transit. Once everything is ready, your shipment will be collected and prepared for its journey overseas.
6. International Transport & Shipping
Your belongings will be transported using the method best suited to the size, destination and timing of your move. For moves within Europe, we can offer cost-effective groupage services by land, where your belongings share space on a removal vehicle with other customers travelling on a similar route, or a direct exclusive vehicle service for customers who require a dedicated truck and more specific collection and delivery dates.
For moves further afield, smaller shipments can often travel by groupage or shared-container service by sea freight, while larger household moves may be better suited to a dedicated shipping container. We’ll explain the available options and help you choose the most practical and cost-effective solution for your move.
7. Customs Clearance
International moves often involve customs documentation and import requirements, which vary depending on your destination. We’ll explain what paperwork is required and guide you through the process before your shipment leaves. Where applicable, our destination partners will also assist with customs clearance on arrival, helping to ensure your belongings can continue their journey with as little delay as possible.
8. Delivery to Your New Home
Once your shipment has arrived and completed any necessary customs formalities, we’ll arrange delivery to your new home. Our local delivery team will bring your belongings to the agreed address and, depending on the service selected, can assist with unpacking and placing larger items where required. From collection through to final delivery, our aim is to make your international move as straightforward and stress-free as possible.
