Information we collect
When you contact us or request a quotation, we collect the information you provide, including your name, email address, telephone number, collection and delivery locations, and details of your proposed move.
If you book a service, we may also need addresses, shipment inventories and documents required to arrange transport or customs clearance. Please provide only information relevant to your enquiry or move.
Our website and hosting services may also process technical information, such as IP addresses and security logs, to operate and protect the website.
How we use your information
We use your information to respond to enquiries, prepare quotations, arrange and manage moves, and communicate with you about your service.
We process information needed to prepare a quotation or provide an agreed service on the basis of taking steps at your request before a contract, or performing our contract with you.
We may also process information to meet legal obligations. Our legitimate interests include keeping the website secure, maintaining necessary business records, and handling complaints or disputes.
We do not send promotional emails. Our correspondence concerns your enquiry or move.
Providing information is voluntary, but without the details needed for a quotation or service, we may be unable to fulfil your request.
Who we share information with
Where needed for your move, we share relevant information with removal partners, transport providers, storage providers and customs agents or authorities.
We also use service providers for website hosting, email and business administration. Information may be disclosed to professional advisers or authorities where necessary for legal obligations or disputes.
International moves
Arranging an international move may require sharing personal information with organisations outside the UK, including partners in the collection or destination country. These countries may have different data protection laws.
Contact enquiries@clickmoves.com for information about the recipients and countries involved in your move and the arrangements applicable to those transfers.
How long we keep information
We normally delete enquiry information when you tell us that you are no longer interested in our services.
If an enquiry receives no further response, we normally delete it after six weeks.
For completed moves, we normally delete routine customer and move information six months after completion.
Records needed for accounting, tax, legal obligations or an ongoing complaint or dispute may need to be retained longer. These exceptions apply only to the information needed for that purpose.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can request access to your personal information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion, restriction of processing, or transfer of information to another provider. You can also object to processing based on legitimate interests.
Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time.
To exercise your rights, email enquiries@clickmoves.com. We may need to confirm your identity before responding.
You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk, or to your local data protection authority where applicable.
